Sram Rival XPLR eTap AXS 12S upgrade kit

If your ride doesn’t feel complete until you get a little dirt on your tires, you know the importance of capable components that can tackle anything. The Rival XPLR eTap AXS rear derailleur is a dedicated 1x-specific unit designed for use with the XPLR 10-44 cassette. It makes for an uncluttered drivetrain that takes on pavement and singletrack with equal aplomb. Wireless and proven eTap shift logic, AXS connectivity and advanced chain management mean this derailleur does exactly what you want when you need it. Make that daily ride from your front door a little spicier with some dirt. The 440% range of the XPLR XG-1251 cassette provides smooth gear progression when you’re sweating up gravel climbs, and tight jumps on the high end for when it’s time to drill it on asphalt. Shift features on each cog are optimized for electronic shifting, so you’ll get fast, smooth and precise shifts every time.

XDR™

The XDR™ driver body is a universal mounting system for cassettes that incorporate cogs with fewer than 11 teeth. It allows for lighter and more versatile drivetrains without requiring new rear axle standards, cassette tools or hub redesigns. The XDR™ interface is 1.85 mm longer than XD™ and is designed for road hub applications. XDR™ driver bodies are compatible with all XD™ cassettes when the cassette is installed with a 1.85 mm spacer.

Mini Cluster

The MINI CLUSTER hybrid cassette construction combines four small cogs that are CNC machined out of a single block of billet steel with an additional eight cogs that are individually pinned together. The result: a cassette that’s light, durable and equipped with a gear range that’s a perfect fit for any ride.

AXS™

AXS™ is Sram’s new electronic integration platform that connects electronic bicycle components and software. The Sram AXS™ App allows riders to see battery status, change component behavior, personalize controls, get maintenance reminders, and update firmware.

X-Sync

Sram X-Sync™ 1x chain rings provide the highest level of performance and durability. The Sram X-Sync™ tall square teeth edges engage the chain earlier than traditional triangle shaped teeth. The sharp and narrow tooth profile, as well as rounded chamfer edges, help manage a deflected chain. To provide the best possible performance in muddy conditions, the X-Sync™ chain rings have been designed with mud-clearing recesses for the inner chain links and rollers. Engineered in Germany, X-Sync™ rings are an integral part of the Sram 1x™ drivetrain.

eTap

All of the underlying tech in the new SRAM RED eTap groupset, such as wireless shifting, advanced battery power management, and mechatronics technologies, are meant to serve one ultimate purpose: to facilitate the most intuitive and consistent shifting available. This shift logic is called eTap. Right lever makes it harder, left lever makes it easier, both levers shift the front derailleur. Simple, unmistakable, and intuitive.
