The most aerodynamic road helmet now "breathes" better. The S-Works Evade 3 has been redesigned from the inside out to be cooler as well as remaining the fastest choice in the peloton. Through extensive testing in Computational Fluid Dynamics and the Win Tunnel, Specialized created a rear 'diffuser' that helps minimise drag and improve ventilation. The diffuser helps optimise aerodynamic performance by allowing air to escape more easily and improves ventilation by expelling 10% more air through the helmet at a given speed. The occipital adjustment ensures comfort by adjusting the fit to the shape of the head and allows the angle of the helmet to be altered for goggle compatibility. The TriFix system with thinner straps reduces irritation. The Mindset sealing system is lightweight and provides a great grip for on-the-fly adjustment while pedalling.MIPS Node Air technology is integrated into the pads, is lightweight, and is designed to dissipate rotational forces on impact. Specialized has added perforations for optimal comfort.
