Specialized Gambit helmet

Redefine your comfort-zone. To create a DH helmet with the ventilation and fit of a non-full-face helmet, Specialized's development team took an integrated approach, where every part was designed for exceptional performance.

Features

  • Lightweight carbon-fibre shell with structural polycarbonate reinforcements and interior in five different densities to optimize weight, fit and ventilation.
  • Homologation: ASTM, DH (1952).
  • The Gambit helmet's Integrated Fit System creates a custom fit based on the conformation of the head and occipital area.
  • The occipital adjustment provides unparalleled comfort and allows you to adjust the angle so that the helmet and goggles stay in place.
  • The face pads are adjustable to 4 positions.
  • The integrated visor provides a wide view and protects the eyes.
  • Excellent ventilation thanks to Integrated Fit System.
  • MIPS SL construction.
  • Thanks to the CFD design, the construction provides large air channels.
  • The 4D Brow Cooling is a slot between the helmet and the forehead which allows air to be sucked in for ventilation at any speed.
  • The Gambit helmet is prepared for the installation of an ANGi sensor (sold separately) which detects impacts.
  • CE certificated: EN1078.

Included

  • Helmet bag.
  • Spare padding.

Technology

MIPS Brain Protection

MIPS is a low friction layer inside the helmet which allows the head to rotate relatively to the helmet in an angled impact. This substantially reduces rotational violence and the potential for damage to the brain. Collaborating with some of the world's leading neurosurgeons and experts, MIPS® has established that when you fall, your head most often hits the ground at an angle, creating a rotational shock to the brain. This rotational shock can cause strain in your brain. A helmet with MIPS® absorbs much of that rotational energy, offering you better protection. And if, against all the odds, you do fall vertically onto your head, a helmet with MIPS® will protect you just as well as an ordinary helmet.
