Miche Supertype 550T DX Tubular wheels

For over 20 years, Supertype wheels have represented the ultimate in technology in the service of competition. Miche has shaped the recommendations of professional athletes through 15 months of research and development.

The carbon fibre rim features a Toray T700 lamination with a unidirectional (UD) outer finish. Profile and section have been completely revised. The result? Aerodynamic resistance reduced by 9% compared to the previous generation thanks to computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations carried out by Miche's Research & Development laboratory.

The Supertype 550 T DX wheelsets mark the debut of the new 24-hole hub, front and rear, in Ergal AL7075 T6 and titanium freewheel body. RR-C (Racing Replica Ceramic) technology uses Ceramic Speed sealed ceramic bearings. The operating pressure can be adjusted via the adjustment rings.

The double-butted round stainless steel spokes adopt a 16+8 arrangement with the right side crossed. A wheel proudly Made in Italy.

New UD unidirectional high-modulus carbon fibre rims. The 50 mm profile for the particularly low weight is the choice for use on routes with significant climbs and gradients. The rim width is optimised for the use of 23 to 32 mm tubulars.

Rim
The carbon fibre core of the new Supertype 550 T DX. Thanks to a width of 24 mm it is possible to install tubulars from 25 to 32 mm. Designed to perform at its best with 25 and 28 mm tyres. New decals: logo and graphics give a more aggressive and elegant touch.

Hub
The AL7075 T6 Ergal bodies are machined using high-precision numerical control (CNC) machines. The flanges on the right-hand side accommodate 16 engagement points for cross-mounted straight-head spokes, while on the left-hand side the flanges accommodate eight spokes.
