This lightweight aluminium wheel set is a must-have choice for anyone looking to make a simple upgrade from OEM wheels. The Ksyrium S Disc can significantly increase the performance of any bike and is an easy entry point to Mavic quality that takes no shortcuts.

The Ksyrium S Disc is 40g lighter than its predecessor, the Ksyrium UST Disc, but is also stronger and more rigid laterally. Stiffness is optimised thanks to Fore technology. The upper deck remains undrilled, optimising strength and stiffness, and does not require the use of a rim tape, resulting in a further saving of 30 g per wheel. The new rim bottom shape makes tyre fitting and removal easier than ever, while our UST Tubeless technology improves rolling resistance and grip, reducing the risk of punctures. These rims are manufactured in France, in our aluminium rim factory.

The new Infinity hub platform optimises stiffness and power transfer with highly controlled spoke tension, while the Instant Drive 360 freewheel combined with automatic bearing preload adjustment (QRM Auto) ensures fast engagement and long life. The Ksyrium S Disc doesn't just pedal fast, it also looks fast. Matt painted hubs, invisible rim welds and deep black spokes give this wheel set a premium look that stands out from the crowd. Designed specifically for disc brakes, it is compatible with a 12x100 axle at the front and 12x142 at the rear and can be converted to Quick Release with the adapters supplied. It is available for Shimano and Sram XD-Road cassettes and can be converted to Campagnolo with an optional guide body. For Centre Lock disc rotors only.

Light and strong for everyday performance

The absence of tubes means less friction, greater efficiency and grip, and a reduced risk of punctures. The new rim bottom shape facilitates tyre fitting and changing. Fore puncture technology does not require the use of rim tape.

Technologies

Maxtal aluminium alloy
Light and strong. Exclusive to Mavic, this specific aluminium alloy offers a better strength-to-weight ratio than conventional 6106 alloy.

Lightweight ISM rim
Inter Spoke Milling is an exclusive process patented by Mavic. ISM consists of machining the rim's lower bridge between each spoke hole to achieve a rim that is light and strong without reducing durability.

Tubeless rim milling Fore
More rigid and robust. Instead of being drilled, the rim's lower bridge is pushed inwards, then threaded to allow direct screwing of the spoke nipples, leaving the upper bridge intact.

Instant Drive 360 freewheel
The new Instant Drive 360 freewheel system is ultra-light and efficient. An oversized non-contact rubber seal minimises friction and a wide choice of adapters makes it compatible with a wide range of frames and axles.

Tubeless UST
Traction and control. Universal Tubeless Standard. Ready-to-ride tubeless system. The UST system improves traction, control and comfort while reducing inertia and the risk of punctures.

SUP Welding
Welded process, a stronger and smoother connection. After strapping, the rim joint is arc-welded. The welded joint is then machined to a smooth finish.

Infinity hubs
Efficient power transfer thanks to optimised non-contact spoke lacing (no noise under load) and tension distribution. The length of the front and rear spokes is identical. Easy maintenance thanks to tool-free solution.

QRM Auto bearing adjustment
Quality Mavic Auto bearings. These cartridge bearings are naturally double sealed, with C3 internal clearance. The system adjusts automatically to ensure long-term perfect rotation without play.
