The “Plus” world crosses over to the road with the Speed 25+ Fulcrum redefines the concepts of precision and lightness

Following in the footsteps of the Red Zone Carbon+, the Speed 25 now take on the plus moniker, indicating the pinnacle of Fulcrum’s range, becoming the lightest low profile option for disc brakes ever produced. Inspired on the Racing Light XLR, the Speed 25+ are the perfect choice both for steep alpine climbs and for long distances, thanks to the safe and precise ride feel that only low profile wheels can provide. Compared to the Speed 25 the weight has been dropped down to 1270 grams and they integrate the best Fulcrum technologies, for an astounding set of wheels in terms of lightness and handling, without compromising reliability (ASTM 1 – System weight limit: 120kg).

Ultra low profile rims
The construction of the rim uses our proprietary FF100 mix of resins with a Direct In-mold Matte Finish (DIMF). The graphics have been overhauled with the new Form Function Fulcrum design, in gun metal grey which, combined with the laser etched finish, reflect the technical research and impeccable design at the heart of all Fulcrum’s products. The rim is 26 mm high, with a hooked inner rim channel of 21 mm. The wheels are tubeless native thanks to the non-drilled rim bed, which guarantees maximum levels of resistance due to the continuity of the carbon fibres.

Hub & bearings: CULT™ Ceramic Ultimate Level Technology
As far as the hubs are concerned, we have used the CULT™ (Ceramic Ultimate Level Technology) ceramic bearings, with Cup & Cone system, that ensure greater smoothness and long term efficiency of the components thanks to the fact that the forces from the spokes are perfectly aligned with those affecting the bearings. The smoothness is further improved by the ceramic treatment found on all the surfaces that come into contact during the spinning. The freewheel body is completely new too. With the Speed 25+ we have introduced a new lighter version that allows us to further reduce the friction at play, by using USB™ type ceramic bearings inside the body. The new lighter body is available in the XDR, N3W and HG versions. The Speed 25+ are the result of the blend of all these factors and technologies. An extraordinary set of wheels that guarantee versatility, maximum lightness, reactivity and smoothness, to provide a precise and safe ride feel.
