Fulcrum Racing 6 C17 wheelset

Racing 6 is the entry level wheel with a distinct aptitude for racing.

The quality is that of all Fulcrum bdc wheels, with advanced features such as the differentiated profile and Spoke Dynamic Balance technology. The rim is wider, 17C, in line with the most current trends, and Fulcrum engineers have pushed the quality of this wheel even further by incorporating an asymmetrical rear rim that provides better performance in both lateral and torsional stiffness and reactivity.

These are the right wheels for your next racing bike!

Technologies

RDB™ Rim Dynamic Balance
The concept is as simple as it is ingenious: balance the rim joint mass with a mass of equal value positioned exactly on the opposite side.

Anti-Rotation System™
This new system dedicated to road bike wheels takes the concept of spoking to a new level of performance. In fact, Fulcrum® engineers have redesigned the spokes and hub seats to create a solid and immovable whole. In this way the spokes never lose their initial tension, thus keeping the wheel perfectly reactive and centred, and remain in the position studied in the wind tunnel to ensure the best possible aerodynamic penetration.

Wide Rim Tech
The Fulcrum® R&D department, following requests from the race courses, has worked to create rims that are about 4 mm wider than in the past. This technical choice makes it possible to offer the ideal base for 25/28mm tyres, the preferred size nowadays. This ensures stability, excellent handling and superior comfort.

Everyone agrees that better comfort on the bike equals less physical and mental fatigue, thus enabling better performance and results. The larger tyre footprint creates a better and more stable footing, while the shape created by the tyre and rim junction creates a smooth and stable air flow, ultimately more aerodynamic, thus reducing friction.

Differentiated rim height
Two different heights between the front and rear: a more complex solution in terms of construction but necessary when looking for the maximum. The lower front wheel serves to enhance handling by limiting weights and thus the masses involved in steering and relaunching. At the rear we find a taller and more granite-like rim to transmit all the power to the wheel and increase stability.
