DT Swiss X 1900 Spline 29' Center Lock Boost rear wheel

Enter the world of XC with a reliable wheel to focus on the essential moments

Enter the Cross Country world with the X 1900 SPLINE. The 25 mm wide aluminum rim offers modern tires the support needed to ride low air pressure in order to minimize rolling resistance. The new Ratchet LN freehub system and meticulous wheel building by hand ensure the highest reliability. This allows riders to just focus on the moment - whether it is beating the sweat out of their opponents or beating their own KOM or QOM.

Features

  • Tubeless-capable, sleeved aluminum rims, featuring a specific 25 mm internal width for dynamic accelerations.
  • The X 1900 SPLINE 370 hub is now upgraded to the Ratchet LN freehub system for even higher reliability.
  • The reliability of the Ratchet System comes from the fact that each tooth engages simultaneously. In comparison, the pawl system has much smaller engagement surfaces.
  • The 2.0 mm diameter DT champion spoke is made of steel to resist the high radial forces that occur on the wheel from the drive and brake torques.
  • The X 1900 SPLINE is available in centerlock and comes with an IS 6-bolt adapter.
  • Real weight: 1 Kg

Technologies

Tubeless
Tubeless tires have a number of advantages over the conventional combination of tube and tire: without risking snakebites, the tire can be run with lower pressures providing better grip. The lower pressure also results in a more comfortable ride. Eliminating the tube means there is no friction between tube and tire and therefore less rolling resistance when the tire rolls over the ground and obstacles. If tubeless sealant is used, the tire can self-seal stings and small cuts. A big advantage for all those who like to ride long and far from the next bikeshop.

Engagement Angle
The engagement angle is the maximum degree that the freehub body can rotate until the teeth of the freehub system engage and accelerate the hub. This angle is calculated by dividing 360º by the number of engagement points of the freehub system.

Pro Lock
Pro Lock is a process where a dual compound, adhesive liquid is injected into the nipple thread, allowing for extremely durable wheel builds. By threading the nipple onto the spoke the adhesive is activated and starts to harden. Re-truing the wheel is still possible after the adhesive has hardened completely, with only a minimal decrease of its thread-lock function.

Bearing
DT Swiss hubs are designed to function optimally once installed in a bicycle. To achieve this, the clamping force created by the wheel mounting system must be taken into account when constructing a hub. Learn how to ensure the optimal rotating property of the ball bearings and discover why DT Swiss does not offer hubs with adjustable bearing clearance.

Ratchet LN
Simultaneous engagement of the ratchets over a wide contact area distributes loads evenly for outstanding reliability. The modularity of the hub allows easy adjustment of the engagement angle as well as its freehub body. Ratchet LN allows DT Swiss hubs with pawl systems to be upgraded to Ratchet Systems. In order to make the conversion from pawl freehub system to the Ratchet LN system possible, the freehub system seal is placed on the freehub body and not on the hub shell like on the other Ratchet Systems.
