Dt Swiss 350 MTB front hub 2025

The 350 hub is a reliable companion for every adventure, whether with its tried-and-tested 36-tooth Ratchet freewheel system or the 72-tooth Ratchet DEG quick-connect system. The simple yet sophisticated hub design reduces weight and offers outstanding performance. In addition, as well as allowing cyclists to service their freewheel system without special tools, it makes it possible to convert to different standards. With the 350, DT Swiss wanted to create a hub capable of offering cyclists maximum freedom combined with great reliability.

Special Edition
Build a unique pair of wheels in three limited edition colours.

Ratchet and Ratchet DEG
The 350 hub is available with the legendary lighter Ratchet freewheel system or with the Ratchet DEG high engagement surface system.

Ratchet DEG
The DT Swiss freewheel system with the fastest engagement ever, with 72-tooth Ratchet rings. The innovative design allows the bearings to be replaced without the use of special tools, as there is no need to remove the threaded ring nut.

Variety
The 350 hub is available for all standard pivots and a variety of drive systems.

Technologies

Bearing technology
DT Swiss hubs are designed to function optimally once fitted to the bike. To this end, the tightening torque generated by the wheel mounting system must be taken into account when designing the hubs. Find out how to ensure the optimum rotating capacity of the ball bearings and why DT Swiss does not produce hubs with adjustable bearing play.

Engagement angle
One of the hot topics in the industry is the engagement angle! Here we explain exactly what it is, how it affects pedalling efficiency and reflect on the truth or otherwise of the widely held view that ‘the wider the better’.

Ratchet technology
Equipped with high-precision toothed sprockets, the patented freewheel system provides superior levels of performance and reliability. The teeth of the sprockets engage simultaneously in each other and the loads are distributed equally over a large contact surface. The plug-in construction of the Ratchet system hubs guarantees fast and tool-free maintenance. The no-tool concept allows switching to a different transmission standard within seconds.

RATCHET DEG technology
The patented Ratchet DEG® system is designed with a smaller angle than common freewheel systems with a large engagement surface, with the aim of increasing reliability. The innovative design of the Ratchet DEG hub allows the bearings to be replaced without the use of special tools, as there is no need to remove the threaded ring nut. Made of steel, DEG's ratchet toothed rings are larger than those of all previous DT Swiss versions and are designed to optimise power transmission for even the strongest cyclists, for longer and over a larger contact surface area. Two enlarged ratchet toothed rings feature the smallest engagement angles ever achieved in a DT Swiss product. On the trails, this translates into different angles of attack. Since the Ratchet DEG freewheel bodies have a larger diameter at the ratchet ring interface to fit the optimised DEG toothed rings, they are only compatible with hubs equipped with Ratchet DEG. The seal is located on the freewheel body.
