This is the jacket made for those days when you just have to go out in the nastiest conditions and need the most effective barrier between you and the elements. The lighter-weight GORE-TEX® fabric offers total rain protection. This jacket has a cut that is slightly roomier so that it can fit over insulation layers without flapping in the wind but still feels great in the riding position. The back has a longer tail for added protection from spray coming off the wheel and a covered vent across the shoulders for temperature regulation. An offset covered YKK® AquaGuard® zipper reduces bulk and the chance of discomfort when wearing multiple layers at the front of the collar. Three rear pockets for storage if you do need to wear this out for a long ride and reflectivity at the wrist and back for extra safety finish off this amazingly lightweight and protective shell jacket.

Technologies
Gore-Tex®
Gore-Tex® fabrics offer long-lasting, comfortable weather protection. The technology is based on an extremely thin membrane made of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE). Its pores are too small for rain to penetrate, yet big enough for perspiration to pass right through. Gore-Tex® products have a high waterproof rating (water column) and can withstand up to 28,000 mm of water pressure – more than monsoon rain. The membrane is bonded between an outer fabric and a high-performance lining. Depending on the construction, the result is either a 2-layer, 2.5-layer or 3-layer laminate. Gore-Tex® in a 3-layer construction offers a combination of enhanced durability and high breathability, while the 2-layer laminate provides lightweight weather protection.
