An extremely light and compressible windproof shell

With waterproof jackets like the Hydro becoming lighter and more compact than ever, it was time to reinvent a classic. In fact, the Aria jacket is very different from your old fluttering jacket, which neither protects you nor lets air through. This jacket is an incredibly lightweight layer that doesn't let the wind get in front of you, allowing ample breathability thanks to the mesh side panels. But what you'll really appreciate is how Castelli has used the stretch panels on the back of the sleeves to ensure that this jacket wears like a second skin: no fluttering fabric or fresh air circulating inside the jacket, it won't feel like a throwback to the Armstrong era. This jacket is light and warm enough to be worn for the whole ride in mild conditions, but if you want to take it off, it fits perfectly in a rear side pocket and takes up minimal space in your back pocket or saddlebag.
