This lightweight, super-breathable, and extremely fast jacket is great for high-intensity rides or staying at the right temperature in cool conditions. Alpha construction with membraneless outer layer and Polartec® Alpha inner insulation. This is the jacket for going fast on cold days or being perfectly dressed on cool days. The Alpha double-layer construction is the core of what makes this jacket work so that you can be in full flight mode when the season starts. The stretch woven fabric lets a small amount of air in to keep you from getting too sweaty during those efforts on colder days, because if you get wet you get cold. The Polartec® Alpha second layer insulates while still providing plenty of breathability, and it's so light the jacket has hardly any bulk to it. The back is made from the Nano Flex Extra Dry fabric, which provides a good level of insulation yet has no membrane so allows for ample amounts of sweat to escape. The fit is close to body so there is no fabric flapping around, while the little details make the difference: easy-sliding YKK® zippers, reflective drain holes on the pockets, a lie-flat silicone gripper band around the waist. The close fit makes this the most aerodynamic jacket as well.

Nano Flex
Exclusively engineered by Castelli. They took their thermal fleecy stretch Thermoflex fabric and coat it with millions of tiny nanofilaments to create the most water-repellent fabric finish ever. Drops of water stay as spherical balls on top of the fabric or bounce off the fabric without leaving a trace.
Polartec Alpha®
Intensive stop-and-go activities in sub-zero conditions pose a particular challenge for functional fabrics. They have to strike the right balance between trapping an insulating layer of air next to your body and allowing moisture/sweat to quickly escape. This is where Polartec® Alpha® active insulation is in a class of its own. It regulates core body temperatures during both dynamic and static activities by retaining body heat, but allowing moisture vapour to move freely through the fabric, increasing overall air exchange and speeding up dry times. This prevents the fleecy insulation from turning into a sponge. It’s made of fine synthetic fibres between air permeable woven layers with a core of lofted knit fibres to ensure uniform consistency.
