Adaptable, all-mountain riding shorts with a streamlined design, ultralight textiles, and comfort-boosting features.

Looking at other looser shorts, Assos realised how the panels rolled up in unlikely places and the addition of zips, webbing and zips contributed to unnecessary weight and chafing while cycling. A minimalist approach solved the problem with a waistband that keeps the shorts in place, a cut that's snug enough to keep them from bunching up in the saddle, an ideal length with or without padding, and a versatile new fabric that flexes with every pedal stroke.

Featured fabrics
The shorts gain their lightweight, fast-drying properties from Type.OF11, a high-density bi-stretch woven that’s highly abrasion resistant with UPF 50+ and DWR treatment to protect them from rain and mud.

Construction/fit
The shorts feature a trim top block, starting with the highly elastic AZPtech (abdomZeroPressure) waist panel for a smooth, comfortable wrap, free of any unnecessary pressure. We pulled the upper legs’ circumference in on either side of the crotch to ensure your saddle can float. free of any material hang-ups. We relaxed the lower portion of the legs and gave them a 12.5in inseam to be ideal with or without pads.
