The Minion DHRII is the Yang to the DHF's Yin, the perfect complement, and now available for the most capable plus bikes on the market. Proven paddle knobs down the center not only provide decreased rolling resistance compared to the DHF but also offer increased braking when the trail gets loose. You may not notice it outside of the steepest terrain but those knobs allow you to brake harder in the rear to maintain your balance as you let the high volume casing absorb any trail irregularities. Also suitable for e-bike.

Technologies

3C Maxx Terra
An intermediate compound configuration used in select mountain tyres. 3C Maxx Terra is softer and offers more traction than 3C Maxx Speed, yet provides better treadwear and less rolling resistance than Maxx Grip.

EXO+ Protection
A new EXO+ construction combines two of the best puncture protection materials: SilkShield and EXO. The SilkShield layer runs from bead-to-bead with a layer of EXO along the sidewalls. Combined, these two materials create EXO+ which improves tread puncture protection by 27%; sidewall durability by 51%; and resistance to pinch flats by 28%.

TR-Tubeless ready
Tubeless tyres provide the rider with many benefits: the ability to run lower air pressures, which improves traction; lower rolling resistance when compared to a tube-type tyre; and less chance of flatting since there is no tube. Maxxis Tubeless Ready (TR) tyres provide the benefits of a UST tubeless tyre without the weight penalty. The square bead profile of TR tyres is designed to work with the broad range of tubeless rims available on the market today. This tyres use a special construction which allows the use of liquid sealants to make them airtight and to help prevent punctures. If needed, Maxxis TR tyres can also be used with an inner tube.

Foldable bead
Foldable beads also keep the tyre secured to the rim but are lighter weight and easily transported. The bead is made of spun aramid or Kevlar® fibers.

Single-ply casing
One layer of nylon wrapped from bead-to-bead. A single-ply casing conforms well to the terrain and is lighter weight.
