Centa Competition gloves
Centa gloves are entirely Made in Italy. They are developed together with Elastic Interface (Cytech), with the use of advanced technologies and fabrics to ensure the best performance with maximum comfort, breathability and protection. They are ultra-light, absorb vibrations at the points of contact with the handlebars, allowing you to maintain control in every situation. Thanks to the high-performance fabrics they adhere to the hand without the need for additional traditional closures. The surface of the palm is covered with a soft and compact fabric. It stretches in polyamide in four directions ultralight, breathable, pilling and abrasion resistant. Grip is achieved thanks to an exclusive silicone-free fabric weave. Featuring excellent elasticity and stretch recovery. The back of the glove is made from ladder proof perforated fabric for optimal management of the thermoregulation and ventilation. It also features an aerodynamic weave made up of a series of “golf ball effect” dots that reduce drag, especially at high speeds.
Features
- A tab has been inserted between the fingers of the glove to be help to remove the glove when you need it.
- Reflective logo inserts for visibility at night or in low light conditions.
- Multi-density inserts suitable for medium and long distances.
- The fabric is equipped with a protection factor that protects against UV rays (UPF 50+).
- Composition: Back 70% Polyamide 30% Elastane. Palm: 60% Polyurethane, 30% Polyamide, 10% Elastane.
Technologies
Palm
The three-dimensional palm, elastic and seamless, is built through a multidirectional curvature on the anatomy of the hand that improves blood flow thanks to the channels between the various inserts. The pressure on the ulnar nerve is reduced, preventing tingling and overheating of the hands. Seamless, it fits the hand perfectly avoiding discomfort, chafing or cuts. The pads have been designed with the support of the University of Padova (Department of Biomedical Sciences) on the basis of anthropometric parameters, with the aim of reducing the pressure exerted on the handlebars and absorb vibrations from the ground. They consist of high-density foam inserts, in hybrid cell, perforated, arranged in precise support zones obtained from the mapping of the hand. Each insert has its own thickness, depending on the position and function it performs, such as the C-shaped insert between the index finger and thumb which is particularly reinforced. Breathability is guaranteed by laser holes and materials.
Competition palm
The Competition palm features multidensity, minimal paddings specifically placed to provide support on a road-bike hold. Paddings are selected to provide protection and breathability.
The Hybrid Cell System insert on the bottom of the hand relieves pressure both when holding handlebars, and the brake hoods:
- Perforated foam with the density 60 kg/m3 present on all of the palm,
- Perforated foam with the density 80 kg/m3 reinforced in the C-shaped insert between thumb and index finger,
- Hybrid Cell System inserts with the density 200 kg/m3 in the lower palm area.
