The Castelli Estremo - shoe covers designed for the most extreme winter / autumn conditions
The Castelli team worked really hard to create a pair of overshoes to surprise even the most experienced riders. To do this, they had to rethink the entire process of realization. For wind protection, their engineers have chose Gore-Tex Infinium™ Windstopper® fabric, which is slightly brushed with better moisture management than any other windproof fabric. Then they've added a second layer of soft Polartec® Power Stretch® Pro™, which is unmatched in terms of softness and thermal insulation. Because the two layers are thick enough, Castelli had to reduce the front part of the foot to a single layer to prevent the fabric from being damaged by friction with the crank. All this made these shoe covers taller to be even warmer, with unparalleled protection from water splashes raised by the wheel.
